Golden Palace Casino Strikes Again

July 6 - Yet again, the 'wunderkind' of self-promotion, Golden Palace Casino, has made headlines by successfully bidding for the right to tattoo its name across a woman's forehead.

In June this year, Karolyne Smith, a Salt Lake City, Utah resident put her forehead up for auction on eBay. She attracted nationwide media attention as Golden Palace online casino paid $10 000 for the unusual 'advertising space'.

Karolyne's eBay page attracted more than 27 000 hits and boasted interest from over a thousand online viewers. When interviewed, she explained that she thought long and hard about the decision to auction off her forehead but did it to generate money for her son's education.

So impressed was Golden Palace Casino by her endeavor, that they added $5000 to the $10 000 auction price.

In the past, Golden Palace has outbid other eBay bidders to walk away with unusual items including the Pope's old VW car, a toasted sandwich with the 'image of the Virgin Mary' and Britney Spears' home pregnancy kit.

GoldenPalace.com CEO Richard Rowe commented, 'We are always on the lookout for new and alternative forms of advertising and felt that a permanent Golden Palace tattoo across someone's forehead was right up our street. The publicity generated by these auctions is well worth the price of the items purchased.'
